The Global Affairs team leads this engagement globally, building trusted relationships with governments, regulators, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and strategic partners. By bringing external perspectives into OpenAI—and helping communicate OpenAI’s priorities outward—we support thoughtful governance frameworks, responsible standards, and public understanding of AI technologies. We work closely across research, product, legal, communications, partnerships, and go-to-market teams to anticipate emerging issues, shape proactive engagement strategies, and advance OpenAI’s mission internationally. About the Role OpenAI believes that access to AI tools and training should expand opportunity—not deepen existing divides.
