About the Role We are seeking an Engineering Manager at Chime’s San Francisco, CA office. The base salary offered for this role will begin at $250,000 and up to $270,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to Plan, direct, or coordinate activities in such fields as software engineering. Direct daily operations of department, analyzing workflow, establishing priorities, developing standards and setting deadlines. Meet with department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to solicit cooperation and resolve problems. Review project plans to plan and coordinate project activity. Oversee the design, development, and deployment of platform solutions using AWS services (e.g., DynamoDB, Kinesis, EC2) and databases like Postgres, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions that align with business objectives. Work closely with engineering and product leaders to identify use cases, define requirements, and drive technical decisions that support quality, performance, scalability, reliability, and security for the platform.
