Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineering

About the Role We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Data Engineering at Chime’s San Francisco, CA office. The base salary offered for this role will begin at $220,000 and up to $240,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience. In this role, you can expect to Design strategies for enterprise databases, data warehouse systems, and multidimensional networks. Set standards for database operations, programming, query processes, and security. Model, design, and construct large relational databases or data warehouses. Create and optimize data models for warehouse infrastructure and workflow. Integrate new systems with existing warehouse structure and refine system performance and functionality. Build a scalable data platform that caters to the data plumbing needs of Chime. Build scalable data pipelines and frameworks. Architect and build workflows that could potentially become de facto standards for the fintech industry. Be a hands-on data engineer, building, scaling and optimizing ETL pipelines. Design data warehouse schemas and scale data warehouse process data for 10x data growth.
