Design Technologist

Airtable is the no-code app platform that empowers people closest to the work to accelerate their most critical business processes. More than 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100, rely on Airtable to transform how work gets done. Airtable has a design system with real foundations and a community of designers and engineers who contribute to it. We’re looking for someone who can be dedicated to building out and evolving this system, as well as bring a sharp point of view on how AI changes the way UI gets built. You’ll sit in Design, but your work lives equally in Figma and production code. This is a high-autonomy IC role with broad cross-functional reach. What you'll do Collaborate on the existing system. Assess its state, establish direction with other contributors, and close the gap between design specs and implementation. Build and ship components and tokens yourself, while evolving contribution standards with the broader community of designers and engineers who maintain the system alongside you. Develop and evangelize a point of view on AI-assisted UI development.
