Staff Software Engineer

Hi, we're Oscar. We're hiring a Staff Software Engineer to join our Engineering team. About the role As a Staff Software Engineer you'll join our distributed team, leading the design and development of enhancements to our next-generation claims and payment processing systems. You will work on a broad problem space spanning contract and pricing configuration, system extensibility through our internally developed DSL, and data pipeline architecture and efficiency. You'll selective apply AI to solve hard problems, automating and improving processes that previously tedious and error-prone. Your focus will be on building scalable and reliable systems that ensure the accuracy and efficiency of our claims and payment processes. You will report to the Director, Software Engineering. Work Location: This position is based in our New York City office, requiring a hybrid work schedule with 3 days of in-office work per week.
