Team The Tech Platforms team stewards and evolves shared technology platforms that power Mozilla Foundation programs and enable effective, secure, and scalable ways of working. Within the Tech Platforms team, Mozilla Common Voice is the flagship intervention to mitigate bias within AI - in particular by making it possible for speakers of the world’s 7000+ languages, and traditionally marginalized demographic communities, to be represented in AI training sets, and meaningfully engaged in building AI. Mozilla Common Voice is a data crowdsourcing platform that supports 300+ communities around the world, and to which more than half a million people have contributed. The dataset is used by these communities, and also in technology and research organizations all over the world.
