The Engine Dynamics team owns the infrastructure layer of Forter's decision engine. We treat the engine development process as a product: reducing complexity, improving confidence, lowering production faults and easing the mental load on all engine development teams. About the role: We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer II to own the infrastructure that takes Decision Engine changes from code to safe production rollout - complex testing setups, gentle and verified deployment flows, observability, and the tooling that lets engineers develop and debug with confidence at scale. You'll lead multi‑quarter initiatives with impact that clearly goes beyond a single team, combining hands‑on backend work with technical leadership to simplify complex systems and raise reliability for multiple engine teams. What you will be doing: Own the engine's path to production - its testing infrastructure, deployment flow, and the critical verifications that keep releases safe, gentle, and fast. Lead multi‑quarter, team‑scoped projects that change how we build, validate and ship engine changes, from problem definition to rollout.
