Discord plays a uniquely important role in the future of gaming, and we are focused on making it easier and more fun for people to hang out before, during, and after playing games. We're looking for an experienced Regulatory Counsel based in Australia to join Discord’s legal team! Reporting to the Director, Global Regulatory Legal, you'll lead and implement Discord’s regulatory response and proactive legal engagement strategy for APAC (including Australia and New Zealand) on regulatory matters impacting Discord, and supporting in other regions as available. You’ll play a critical role on Discord’s Legal team and collaborate with colleagues throughout the company as you successfully advocate for Discord. This is an international position based in Australia employed by an international PEO. What you'll be doing: Lead and implement Discord's responses to regulatory requests including: assess the incentive (or threat) posed to Discord by the inquiry; gather and organize responsive data and information; and draft accurate, compelling responses that meet our obligations and further Discord’s interests.
