About the team/role We're hiring a Director, Assistant Controller to help build the accounting function Checkr needs for its next chapter. Reporting to the Controller, you'll inherit a talented team of 10 and own the corporate accounting— close, financial reporting, and technical accounting — partnering closely with FP&S, Tax, Corp Dev, and Legal. We need someone who has seen what "great" looks like at a public company and can bring those standards here — tightening our close process, leveling up our technical accounting bench and putting the controls and documentation in place that will hold up to external scrutiny.
